Assistant Waiter/Waitress

General Responsibilities

·      Assist with greeting and seating of guests when necessary;

·      Serve bread and water according to the standard of Gianni’s Group;

·      Know the menu items, including the specials and how they are prepared, both food and beverage;

·      Attend line up meeting and clarify any questions related to food and beverage service;

·      Assist waiter/waitress in serving food and drinks;

·      Ensure guest satisfaction;

·      Pay attention to attentive service;

·      Adhere to the standard operating procedures of Gianni’s Group at all times;

·      Maintain cleanliness and organization at tables;

·      Have full knowledge of specials of the day;

·      Ensure what your section is and coordinate;

·      Ensure the proper set up in your section;

·      Keep good communication with the kitchen and the bar;

·      Ensure the proper set up in all areas of the restaurant; check that all tables are stable and do not wobble and position all items at the center of tables according to your establishment’s procedures;

·      Keep a very orderly work station during business hours;

·  Report all special request and guest complains to the supervisor and/or manager, regardless how small you think they are;

·      Assist the waiter/waitress in attending the guest during their entire dining experience.

 

Requirement/Experience/ Knowledge:

·      Must have experience of minimum 1 year;

·      English and Spanish a must; multilingual a plus;

·      Education: MAVO level;

·      Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays;

·      Food handlers permit required (carchi berde)

·      Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedure.
